Ignorance and prejudice walk hand in hand; those that are ignorant of the other walks of life are moreover prejudice to them. Judging another person for who they are is a narrow minded approach to life. The people in this world are all created differently, and society cannot seem to accept that fact. There is major controversy surrounding the psychology of homosexual individuals. Whether or not these individuals are created that way is the most magnitudinous. Those who are also quick to judge are quick to anger, which inhibits their understanding. Ignorant people's thoughts are usually derived from inconclusive, non-scientific data. It is quite obvious that nobody has the power to determine who they are initially, whether it be mentally or physically. The human brain cannot be severely altered enough to make choices, such as sexuality. Multitudinous scientific research exemplifies that homosexuality is not a personal preference, but a predisposition. The individuals that are homosexual were born that way; there was no cognitive choice made by them.

Homosexuality does not happen over night, nor does a person simply awaken and decide to be gay. Scientists believe that homosexuality is a predisposition; one that can be found as early as the developing childhood years of an adolescent male or female. Researchers say that the homosexual differences first become apparent to the kids with whom they most often associate at day cares and schools. This psychiatric theory suggests that although the kids do not understand the precise meaning of homosexuality, they can still detect oddities such as with which toys they choose.
