Relationship Between Body and Mind and Physical Well-being

There is a special two-way communication between mind and body and it is known that psychological problems like anxiety or stress, which occurs in the mind, may take control over the body and cause illnesses and disorders and vice-versa. In this paper, we will look at the mind-body relationship and the body-mind relationship and note that the mind is about thought, consciousness, mental images and processes while the body is about how the brain is structured and the physical components of the brain neurons which may result in physical movements of the being.
Firstly we will look at the mind-body relationship - how our body reacts to the way we think and feel. When in threat, a person naturally becomes anxious and their senses become increasingly sensitive to potential harm. Hormones, like adrenaline and cortisol, released during stressful conditions flood our bloodstream, raising the cortisol levels resulting in a fight or flight response. The brain then reacts with the amygdala receiving information from the sensory organs, tracking patterns and assisting memory formation of emotion...
