LIFE. This is my passion. My mission. My heartbeat. My calling. My life is dedicated to bind up the brokenhearted, and to stand up for those who have no voice, whether they are disabled, elderly, orphaned, unborn or considered “useless”. My life mission is to stand up for life, and to ensure that all people are cared for and loved, because they are uniquely created by God. My life mission is to play my part well in History: His Story. This is a story about the journey of my life, and how I have grown in my love for LIFE.
My passion for life began to grow in seventh grade, when I was invited to participate in the Right to Life of Indianapolis Essay Contest. Writing the essay caused me to evaluate why I claim to be pro-life and how much I needed to educate myself regarding what I believe. Consequently, the contest itself did not seem as important as actually digging deeper to define my convictions. For the next four years, I continued to research and write about people with disabilities, the physical and emotional effects of abortion, abortion regulations and laws, how the world would have been affected if I had been aborted and the prevention of teen pregnancies. Every year I entered, I was honored to place in the top five of my age group, even receiving the grand prize three years in a row. This has enabled me to attend the Celebrate Life banquet for the last five years. From the essay award money, I was able to sponsor two teen tables at the last two banquets, inviting many of my friends to come. Each speaker, from Jason Jones to Michael Reagan to Lila Rose, continually inspired me to dedicate my life to God, the Author of Life.

My desire is to volunteer with the crisis pregnancy center located across the street from my campus at University of Indianapolis. I would like to be trained in crisis pregnancy counseling, so that I can be a light to the young women on campus and guide them to hope. Additionally, I would like to be a part of the beginnings of a college-aged BreakDown team that EastGate studios is considering, so that we can stop the abortion issue at the root, by promoting abstinence. Also, I would be honored to continue speaking to middle-school and high-school students about the sanctity of life, representing Right to Life of Indianapolis. This is my passion. My mission. It is our responsibility to help and support people who fall into these categories. We should now defend human life and dignity, to make people practice justice and peace, and to maintain family life and moral values. Abortion is a major issue today in our world. Thousands of people out there do it today. Our teachings call us to protect human life, and here we are killing it just because we don’t want it.
Abortions occur for all types of reasons, whether it is because the pregnancy was unplanned, rape-induced, or that it holds a life threatening capacity for the woman herself. Pro-lifers believe once one is conceived, he or she are entitled to a right to live. It does not matter whether or not the pro-lifers are able to prove that a fetus consists of personhood. The life of a potential person should not be able to override the right to one’s body. Judith Thomson presents a though experiment where personhood is granted to a fetus, but how that mere fact still fails to override the woman’s right to her body.
I will contribute to the mission of the Nurse Corps Scholarship program by continuing to provide care to individuals in underserved communities. Medically underserved communities involve racial minorities, offenders and ex-offenders, crime or abuse victims, LGBTQ citizens, people with AIDS, and those that are economically disadvantaged. I was born in the small town of Monroeville, AL. It is a great town but it does not have the best resources when it comes to health care. The Pro Life Fetal Rights Movement Problems with format Pro-life rhetoric is reshaping history to make room for a new class of citizens. The members of this new identity group are called "fetuses," and their legal protection is crucial to the heritage of and future of America. Lauren Berlant, in her essay, "America, 'Fat,' the Fetus"; describes the pro-life motivation to present fetuses as a class of citizens, and thereby add "a new group of "persons" to "the people"" (Berlant, 98). To do so, pro-lifers exploit the current convergence of public and private spheres. In the intimate public sphere, citizens are defined not by a common civic duty, but instead, by a shared morality.
Life, such a broad yet concise topic. A multitude of different people and cultures offer different opinions on what gives life value and how to obtain satisfaction in our lives. For example, the typical “American Dream” is defined as attaining wealth and success through hard work, while many Spanish cultures consider closeness within a family a valuable trait in life. Whether it is family, success, love, or faith, every citizen in each different culture finds what brings him or her joy and does whatever it takes to reach this satisfaction. There are three specific aspects of my life which make life worth living; these include my faith, my family, and the talents I have been blessed with.
The murder of innocents or, a woman’s right to choose; the Pro-Life/ Pro-Choice Debate, Which side are you on? The issue of abortion has been a topic of interest not only in the medical world but also in the political and religious worlds as well. The pro-life argument states that at conception the fetus is a baby and terminating it is taking a life. The pro-choice argument states that the unborn fetus, not baby, is just a blob of tissue and your terminating a pregnancy not a child. Both sides of the argument will be discussed in this essay along with the views of the church, politicians, women who have had abortion, and even a women who use to worked for Planned Parenthood.
It is almost unanimously agreed upon that the right to life is the most important and sacred right possessed by human beings. With this being said, it comes as no surprise that there are few issues that are more contentious than abortion. Some consider the process of abortion as immoral and consisting of the deprivation of one’s right to life. Others, on the opposite end of the spectrum, see abortion as a liberty and a simple exercise of the right to the freedom of choice.
One of the most controversial issues in society today is abortion, and as of now, is morally acceptable because of Roe vs. Wade. However, when a study taken by Minnesota reveals that women who have had an abortion have 10 times the risk of committing suicide than women who have not had an abortion, it’s time to seriously think about whether or not abortion should be acknowledged as morally right. Considered by some to be a form of murder, anti-abortion laws should apply to all women in order to prevent any emotional mishaps of the abortion victim and to save the lives of the innocent human beings not yet born.

One of the most controversial issues in this day and age is the stance people take on abortion. The two main positions that people take are either of pro-choice or pro-life; both sides, although polar opposites, tend to refer to both the issue of morality and logical rationale. The pro-life side of the debate believes that abortion is an utterly immoral practice that should be abolished. On the contrary, abortion should remain a legal procedure because it is a reproductive right; its eradication would not only take away the pregnant person’s autonomy, but would also put more children in financially unstable homes and the adoption system, and would cause an increase in potentially fatal, unsafe abortions.

The moments we spend leading others to find their own personal definitions of happiness are worth so much more than ours alone. Sometimes to see the beauty and meaning in the small things, we must rid ourselves of all the "fluff' that threatens to distract us. Time is too precious and our gifts, as leaders, too valuable to be wasted on things that do not touch our hearts.
