Heinrich Himmler
Heinrich Himmler was the Reich Leader (Reichführer) of the dreaded SS of the Nazi Party from 1929 until 1945. Heinrich presided over an immense ideological and bureaucratic empire that defined him for many (on the inside and outside the third Reich) as the second most powerful man in German during the time of World War Two. Heinrich was born on October 7, 1900 into the middle- class. He was born in Munrich, Germany. (www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/himmler.html)
In 1913 the Himmler family moved to Landshut, which was a town located about forty miles Northeast of Munich. (www.ushmm.org) During this time Himmler was in school. Himmler left high school to reach his dream. Himmler’s dream was to become and officer on the front line. However his father was reluctant for him to go, he still allowed Himmler to use his connections to get into training.
The restrictions put on Germany by the Versailles Peace Treaty dashed all his hopes of ever joining the army.(www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/himmler.html ) Himmler went back to high school. Himmler decided to go back to school. In July 1929 he had graduated. So after Himmler graduated he went to Technical University in Munrich. Himmler study Agriculture at the University. By the time he received his university degree in August 1922, Heinrich was a fanatical Völkisch nationalist and political activist.
On August 1923, he joined the Nazi Party. (www.ushmm.org) Himmler was very devoted to the Nazi party. He was so devoted that he quit his job as a manure-processor, one month later. On November 9, 1923 Himmler, finally, got to March with Hitler, Röhm, Hermann Göring, and other Nazi leaders in the Beer Hall Putsch against the German government. “race consciousness,” cult of the German race, the need for German
Expansion and settlements, and the struggle against eternal enemies of Germany. These “eternal enemies” were “Jewish” capital, “marixism” ( i.e., socialism, communism, and anarchism), liberal democracy and Salvic peoples. (www.ushmm.org)
January 6, 1929 Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi Party, appointed Himmler head of his personal bodyguard, The black-shirted Schutzstaffel (SS). (www.leninimports.com/heinrich_himmler) himmler deployed his troops in April 1931. During the last days of 1931 Himmler created a Race and Settlement office. The office was set up to look over applications of SS men seeking to marry under a new internal “Marriage Decree”. He created this for checking to see if they were German. Also to make sure a German only marries a German.
