According to the articles in Greek Mythology, Gods and Monsters Mount Olympus was home to some of the 12 Olympian gods and goddesses. It was also a place where they will meet to hold court. It was said to be a delight located beyond the clouds. No mortals or humans were allowed to enter, as it was a haven for gods. Another place where gods had influence was called the Underworld. The Underworld was the realm of the dead and controlled by Hades. It also contains five rivers: the Acheron, Cocytus, Phlegethon, Styx, and Lethe. They represent grief, mourning, fire, unbreakable oath, and vagueness respectively. Upon death, souls would enter the Underworld. Souls who paid the fare were taking across the river of grief and into the gates of the Underworld were judgment gets passed. The worthy head to the Elysian Fields, others not so worthy will receive unique punishments. The Tartarus is an area located below the disk of the world lower then the Underworld. It is used as the extreme of prisons, horrid, and unreachable.

Poseidon is the God of earthquakes and the sea. Hades is considered King of the Underworld and God of the Dead. Hera Goddess of marriage, women, and goddesses, she was also the wife of Zeus. Hestia is the Greek goddess of the home and fertility. Ares, he is the God that causes chaos in wars. Athena Goddess of wisdom, poetry, art, and the strategic side of war. According to the articles in Greek Mythology there are many myths and stories regarding Greek Gods. One of them is the story about Zeus lovers. He was apparently hard to resist since he was the all mighty and powerful God. He has been married many times and his lovers were not only goddesses but also humans. Zeus was married four times first to Metis, then Themis, Mnemosyne, and then Hera. He was involved with many others Leto, Europa, Io, Semele, Ganymede, and Callisto. However, one woman resisted his charm Demeter, the goddess of corn, harvest, and grain.
