Animal Testing: Good or Bad? What would you do if someone decided to force you to become their personal experiment? Guys, how would you feel if someone decided to put makeup all over your face? You would not like that, would you? So if you agree that you would not like being a test experiment , why agree to animals being tested? On the other hand, how would you feel if someone sold you a product that has not been tested and could possibly kill you? Is that better than mistreating animals? From doing research, I have found a few pros along with cons to testing animals. Anyone can pretty much guess what animal testing is, but i will explain just in case. Animal testing, also known as animal experimentation or animal research, refers to experiments carried out on animals to observe the effect of the experimental product or behavior under study. It is used to assess the safety and effectiveness of everything from medication to cosmetics, as well as understanding how the human body works. Animal testing is used for countless products and applications. Some of the products that commonly involve animal testing are: Cosmetics, Drugs, Food additives, Supplements, Household products, and Industrial chemicals. Experimental research with animals is usually conducted in universities, medical schools, pharmaceutical companies, defense establishments, and commercial facilities that provide animal-testing services to industry.
