the Thirteen Colonies American Identity

Recently discovering the regional differences between the North and Southern Colonies and finding their weak and strong points in society is that they both have their own customs and views on how a government should be run. For instance the south wants to keep slavery and the north wants to abolish slavery completely. To make these changes both regions need to work together and make a compromise to make everyone happy, but at the same time make an official government that the states, A.K.A the 13 colonies can follow. This would make the first time the states go to be independent and their "American Identity" will start to come out. This is how the Colonies came together as a whole, to start a new nation and a new beginning to their way of life. My thesis is that the colonies in order to come together the north and the south need to make a compromise that will make everyone including slaves equal and give them equal rights, freedoms, and the right to live a normal life like the other colonist. They will also need to create a strong base for their government that can support the changes and need and wants they require to make a successful government that will last. To do this the two regions, the North & the South will make a great compromise that will shape the newly born government that will make everyone equal. This will also give the larger and smaller states a chance to be equal and give them support they will need to make sure everyone's vote or thoughts towards the government will be represented upon the state to give the people a voice. The people of the north and southern regions have their differences between their way of life, society, food they eat, the animals and crops they can have, to the way they make a profit... ... middle of paper ... ...ise to find new ways to run their plantations. This would fix the slavery issue throughout the regions. Now other ways that need to be fixed to make the two regions get along would be to create a government that supports and represents the small and larger states so everyone's voice is heard and is equal and the votes would be put in by the senators. Lastly the regions would work together to find ways to make a profitable income that will benefit them for the future and ways for the two to get along and follow each other's decisions that will create a successful government that will last for years to come and will eventually lead to the expansion of the United States and the long life of our constitution. This is how the North and the South will compromise to give them their American Identity that is what we see around us as a whole and as the United States.
