Tennis is a healthier sport than golf, and has several more health benefits. There are many studies and researches that have been done that prove this point. The first point is being affordable for everyday families and very easily accessible for them. Next are the health aspects of the body, it vitalizes the body and mind, reduces the risk of heart disease, and increased of burning calories especially during competitive play. It also proves to be ideal for children, with childhood obesity at a dangerously high rate, tennis is a phenomenal Cardio workout. Tennis is known as the sport of a lifetime for the many perks mentioned and because it teaches self-discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and causes fewer injuries. However golf does have an advantage over tennis in older age groups because of certain serious medical conditions, golf is a more ideal for activity.
According to USTA and very well known scientists from around the world that specialize in different areas its become commonly agreed upon that tennis is the sport for the life-time. The first fact that has been thoroughly researched is playing tennis at a competitive pace three hours a week, reduces the risk of death in half from any cause according to Ralph Paffenbarger. This is an important aspect because if playing a sport once a week for three hours will help reduce risk of death from any cause, its crucial to play that sport or stay active. Tennis proves to be an enhancer to not only physically, but also mentally which helps build strength mentally and emotionally for players.

Tennis has become a sport of a lifetime for so many reasons, but perhaps none greater than the fact that it offers so many benefits to young and old alike. The more studies that have come out back up this theory because it allows you to live longer, healthier and freer. Playing tennis allows you to become more fit and burn more calories than you would at golf which only could mean that playing tennis means cutting risks of diseases and other conditions that playing golf only wouldn’t cure. It has many more benefits due to playing with a partner and being much more active, even if it’s only three hours a week. Tennis is a healthier sport than golf, and has several more health benefits.
