Imperialism in South Africa
Throughout the course of Africa’s history, imperialism is one of the biggest transformations that could have happened. More specifically, South Africa. Though it happened almost one hundred and eighty years ago, we are still capable of seeing the different impacts it had on modern South Africa. You should care about the effects of imperialism because you can still see the different effects imperialism has had on South Africa. But, did imperialism have a positive or negative impact on modern South Africa? I believe that though imperialism has had some positive impacts, most of the outcomes were negative. I believe this for several reasons.

The reason why this is important is because it’s one of the reasons poverty still exists today. While education is being given out today, a few decades ago it was scarce for men of color. So those who didn’t receive education before received lower paying job or no job at all. This is just another challenge that South Africa is trying to face that is still connected to imperialism.
In conclusion, you are still able to see the different affects that imperialism had on South Africa. While there were some positive effects of imperialism, most of them are negative. I think Southern Africa would have been better off if Great Britain hadn’t tried to interfere in their country. What do you think?
