Technology is increasingly related to daily life; making life better and easier. It brings beneficial to human life includes in learning. Technology can act as an efficient teaching tool to make learning becomes more interesting, convenient and effective. Most of us want to know the advantages and disadvantages of e-book in contrast to the printed book, its usefulness and effects on learning. Using technology in learning can help to attract learners and enhance learning. However, it can also distract them from what they supposed to learn to play games or watching video. Actually, the problems are not from the e-book but its complementary tools. An e-reader needs to be handled far more careful than a book. Too much pressure on an e-reader leads to a shattered screen and reading will be stuck. Devices mainly designed for reading e-books present other problems and issues. An e-reader is costly and unaffordable for everyone made it an obvious disadvantage. There are also electronic devices likes iPad can acts as an e-book reader, but it is still fairly expensive. Even a print book is less convenient, it is more cost effective. E-reader is convenient to possess, but there are some weakness as well. All electronic devices are subject to failures, the problems may be caused by the batteries, screen or hardware. Chen et.al. (2012) showed that data can easily lost if forget to back up or save. These problems will never occur in a print book since the words on the page will not disappear unexpectedly. Furthermore, download or access e-books need internet connection. Nothing can be done if the internet is unavailable at the moment. Usability of e-book or e-reader is also a concern since eye fatigue is always an issue on an electronic device uses. It is more difficult to read words on a computer screen than on a page and can create eye strain. Learner experienced significant greater eye fatigue with reading through e-book than print book (Jeong, 2012). This is also supported by Chen et.al. in 2012 which found that using electronic book had negative effect on health especially eyes problem. More concentration needed when reading text through screen than on paper and it is more error prone in e-book reading.
