1. How, according to Zinsser, is his evaluation of students different from their own and from their potential employers ' assessments? His evaluation is broken down in four category, after the set of answer he received. Economic, parental, peer, and self-induced pressure. Either a combination or one, ranging mild and moderate. He urges, students to break free and do something that will make them happy. Their potential employers’ assessments ideals smart and educated student. Only the best will make it and your action will be the result. Student presume to strive that A and while balancing everything out. 2. Why does Zinsser believe that women are probably under even more pressure than men? Do you think this is true today? Zinsser recalls economic pressure, where women are faced with more pressure. Women are set out to be employed in “male jobs”. I’m on the borderline on that because jobs are jobs and a women can do the same work as men and maybe better. I heard on news, women getting pay less. Out of all the types of pressures Zinsser identifies, which type do you think pertains to you? Why? I have two types of pressure, it’s parental and self-induced pressure. Parental pressure, because my parent want the best for me. It always became a norm for me to study and go get an education. Even though my parents are not educated and don’t understand the pressure, they won’t accept the fact that “I’m going to throw my life away.” I don’t mind but they do take things to the extreme. My education is pay for but not my living expense, which they handle. I ought to obey everything they say and do. With that, I’m worry if I do live on my own, I may not support it.
