Year 11 is a significant year of schooling life, however, it can result in many emotional, social and physical pressures. Therefore, as a senior school student, it is very important to have mental health awareness to use the social and personal capability to find appropriate time management strategies and using critical and creative thinking to obtain stress reduction strategies to help with the pressures. This investigation will discuss several time management methods and ways to cope with the stresses of Year 11.

Not every task is equally important. Prioritizing allows you to identify the most important tasks at any moment and give those tasks more of your attention, energy, and time. (Mindtools.com, 2018)
After researching methods to have better time management, the most useful one I can implement in my life is to avoid procrastination and distraction. It is pivotal to avoid procrastination as it decreases productivity and increases my stress level, especially when nearing assignment deadlines. The cause of my procrastination is being distracted by social media on my phone. To overcome this, I must turn off my phone when studying. Hence, avoiding procrastination will drastically improve my time management but also my stress levels. As I am introverted, I thrive when studying alone in a quiet room, whereas studying at school around my friends will limit my productivity as I will be distracted. The capability relating to time management is the personal and social capability. My personal capability is important for ensuring prioritize my time and don't procrastinate, to keep up to date with my work. My social capability will be required when asking teachers for help if my poor time management causes me to struggle with any assignments or tasks at school.
