Logan, more commonly known as the wolverine, the fouled-mouthed claw bearing Canadian, is one of the sweethearts of most comic book readers. He lives life with his own rules, does not care what anybody says, and has claws that can get him out of any disastrous; that is until X-Men Origins: Wolverine, hit theaters May 1, 2009. To the average movie goer, X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a pretty enjoyable movie. It had a great cast, some good action scenes, and an interesting story to tell. To an avid comic book reader and die hard Wolverine fan, this movie was nothing short of unbearable. With this screen make came adding a few extra characters to develop the story, but these extra characters came with a price. The first price to pay came with Deadpool. Wade Wilson, Deadpool’s real name, was accurately portrayed in the comic book. When he was stuck in the elevator, he starts talking about William Stryker and says “Thank you sir. You look really nice today. It’s the green. It brings out the seriousness in your eyes” (Hood); and when Logan asks him if he ever shuts up, he replies “No, not when I’m awake” (Hood) He was a bad-mouthed assassin who had skills to back up his words of choice and was hilarious in doing so. When it came to turning him into to Deadpool, everything had change. The first thing to notice was his mouth had been shut and covered (Hood) One of the most iconic thing about deadpool was how much of foul mouthed person he was. No matter what the situation was, Deadpool always had something to say, and in the movie, the got rid of this side of him without thinking about if it was a valuable addition to the movie. Logan continues the story of, of course Logan, and introduces X23 to movie scenes. Though not entirely faithful to the comics, Logan adds valuable contribution to the movie without deferring to much from the comics. In the comic old man, the X-Men are by Logan because the supervillain Mysterio made Logan think the X-Men were supervillains, but in the movie, the X-Men are killed because of Charles Xavier dementia outburst. In the comic X-23 Innocence Lost, X-23 accidentally kills her biological mother after being exposed to the trigger scent which makes her go on a killing rampage, but it the movie, Pierce and his men are the one who killed X-23’s mother (adopted). Though both of these derail from the comics, the provide distinctive and valuable contribution to the new medium without it affecting aspects of the characters in
