Writing Strengths And Weaknesses

In high school, writing essays was my weakest link. When I began my first semester of college, I still had that trouble in my first writing composition class. I improved significantly from gaining organization and length. When I started my second writing composition class, my grades for my paper sky rocketed! The essays I have written though out this semester have shown improvements in context and organizations, however, I still have some room for improvement on reasoning’s and thesis statement. While reading through my essays for this semester, I noticed a few strengths. My first strength is my ability to bring an essay to a close. In the essay titled “Healthy Options on Campus” I bring everything I discussed in the paper to one sentence then at the end I include a goal UTSA has had for years. Indicating that if UTSA were to bring healthy options to their university they could have the opportunity to become a pier one school (Conclusion: “Healthy Options On Campus”). Next, I have a strong suit in writing about background information. For example, in my second essay titled “Racial Profiling” I discussed into great detail on what racial profiling is and how the Bill of Rights states racial profiling. This also brings to show what I will be discussing what I will be writing about for the rest of my paper (Conclusion: “Racial …show more content…

I also have a few weaknesses. My first weakness are that my paragraphs are jumpy. This shows in both of my essays, “Healthy Options on Campus” and “Racial Profiling”. In “Healthy Options on Campus” the second paragraph, the sentences produced are jumping around from one subject to another.
