Why I Want To Attend Moravian College

Receiving an education from Moravian became my goal after first visiting the campus. Being greeted with a comfortable, safe area that was well equipped to prepare me for my career was nothing short of awe striking. A well-rounded background is important in the evolving workplace as you have to stand out from other candidates. Four years is a stretch of time that anyone may be weary of spending at a specific institution, but I know my decision to attend Moravian will only prove to be beneficial as it was by far the “best fit”. The positive environment and interactive classes will undoubtedly aid me in reaching my goals. My ultimate goal in college is to become fully prepared to enter my future career. I am confident Moravian College will provide this opportunity through small, interactive classes with professors that truly strive for student success. I expect a lot more outside work versus in class work and I anticipate many more hours of study and preparation. Nevertheless, I have always been one to ask for help when I need it, so I am positive that I will take advantage of tutoring opportunities or times when my professors are free to help. Being devoted

It was an opinionated piece on a topic I knew little about previous to my research. In order to form an opinion, I looked at both sides of the argument while ignoring any previous bias that may have swayed me. There was little place for emotion driven opinions and the scholarship committee commended me for my lack of blind, bias filled comments. After much research, I completed my first draft and focused on word choice, sentence placement, and order of ideas for the essay to flow better. By the time my final draft was complete, I felt fully confident I had written a “good” essay and had learned from the experience as well. My dedication to the paper was rewarded when I won the scholarship that paid my first semester of college
