The current workstations are only able to process half of the incoming data sent to the company by its customers. The workstations are 4 years old and are running an old operating system that is unable to meet the demands of our current workload. The old workstations are bulky and heavy, which cause workspace to be crowded and difficult to re-configure. The current memory and hard drive capacity are obsolete, on average of 64 Mb of RAM and 1.0 Gb Hard Drive, this often causes delays and decreases the turnover rate of the department. The old workstation processors are of the Intel Pentium 1 series operating at 133MHz. This slows down the overall operations in our department.
The suggested solution is to purchase complete new workstations for the department. The best selection for the particular brand of workstation is the Dell
Dimension 4300S. This complete workstation comes with a standard mouse and keyboard, as well as a slim design tower, and a thin screen LCD display monitor.

My report is on the company Hewlett – Packard (HP) which was founded in 1939. I mainly focused on the Personal Systems Group (PSG): business and consumers PCs mobile computing devices and workstations which is one of the major industries of HP. In order to succeed in the business industry a company needs to understand its customer’s needs and create wants for them. HP found out that the customer needed light weight, useful notebook PCs through its Research & Development (R&D) centre. Hence, it created a want; a New Commercial Notebook PC Compaq Evo Notebook N1015v which packs the power and performance necessary for mobility into a stylish design for only $899(US $). HP also finds out about its customer needs through online feedback forms and survey. Via that, HP was also able to understand that not everyone are able to use their products hence it has created this HP accessibility products which can be accessed by anyone including people with disabilities and age – limitations. In the discussion of legal philosophy there is the ever occurring question “what is law”, many legal philosophers have attempted to answer such question but I believe the one philosopher to change the field entirely was John Austin. John Austion was the first modern legal positivist (and possibly founding father) to present a contemporary theory of law. Austin’s main interest in the philosophy of law was differentiating the reality of the law from the normative or moral merit of law. This in sense is scientific approach because positivism is an empirical approach to philosophy, which extends it use to the scientific method and other fields. None the less my goal here is not to present an all-out account of Austin but to present a comprehensive evaluation of legal positivism and present the issues I have found prominent in legal validity, whether it be with Hart, Austin any other theorist.
