Woman were important during World War II because the men were fighting in war so women had to fill in the jobs and roles of the men. There were advertisements to encourage women to take the jobs of the men, the women joined nursing corps and armed forces so more men could be sent into battle. Nobody wanted women to join the military but after the attack on Pearl Harbor, they decided to let women join the Army, Navy and Coast Guards.
These were just some of the roles that women did in WWII not including just regular jobs though. Women were needed in WWII to take spots of the men leaving for battle, women had to take different roles of the men's jobs at home and were also able to become pilots and transport some things from place to place. Nowadays women are encouraged and accepted when joining the war but in World War II women would act and dress like the men because they weren’t able to fight in the war. Back in WWII women were only able to have certain jobs,but they took the ones they were able to get. Now women can have any job men have and can do almost anything men can do. If it weren’t for the women who decided they were going to do something for the war in WWII, it would probably different today. World War II changed our country for women, and women transformed our nation. If it weren’t for the women helping out in the war we would have lost a lot more lives.
