Recommended: The role of narrator

Winter Dreams is one of the excellent written pieces created. It holds many great literary functions. However, while it is written in third person, it favors Dexter. Dexter basically tells the story, he just never uses first person words. This story favors Dexter so greatly, readers get to see Dexter's inner feelings and thoughts. It is written in third person, but really written in first person. Winter Dreams wouldn't be much different if it was written in first person. Winter Dreams is basically written in first person. Fitzgerald just never uses the word I. If someone would go back and change the story to third person, the changes wouldn't be drastic. Only minor changes would be made.
