School uniforms violate students’ freedom of expression, cost a lot of money, and causes more bullying. These unnecessary problems are being occurred by uniforms. Of course, these problems should not be occurred by school uniforms at all. With that, school uniforms should be banned. Students lose their freedom of expression when a school uniform is required. When students are forced to wear a school uniform, they won’t be able to express their feelings through their clothes. Yeah, some students might wear inappropriate clothes, but schools can still have dress codes. Dress codes don’t entirely take away a student’s freedom of expression. It’ll still allow students to express themselves while wearing appropriate clothes. With school uniforms, it just takes away a student’s freedom of expression straight away. Every year, a parent would have to spend money on school uniforms because the uniforms won’t be able to fit onto the student for another year. Some people say that school uniforms are very cheap, but study shows that a parent spends $249 on school uniforms every year. The 249 dollars only goes to 1 student. If the parent has more than 1 student, they’ll be playing $500 at the very least. Some clothes that aren’t school uniforms may cost a lot of money as well. However, these clothes are able to fit onto a student for a few years which will help families save some money. School uniforms cause a lot more bullying. People say that school uniforms will help reduce bullying, but the opposite happens. With students wearing the same outfit, these students tend to tease others by their looks instead. Without school uniforms, if students are able to wear what they feel the most comfortable with, other students may back off a bit. Sure, banning school uniforms won’t remove bullying, but at least it’ll reduce some bullying for some
