Why We Shouldn T Be Vegetarian

Humans have been eating meat for the past 2 million years. Recently people have changed to a vegetarian diet and saying its better. I’m here to prove them wrong. People shouldn’t be vegetarian because meat is the best source of protein, vegetarians have a higher chance of being malnourished, and vegetarians have a higher chance of disease.
To begin with, Meat is the best source of protein. In the article “Proteins Are Not Created Equal” by National Cattlemen’s Beef Association they state that in only one serving of meat you get amino acids, iron, zinc, and B vitamins. This shows that eating meat is the best way to get all of your essential vitamins. It also shows that to be healthy you need to eat meat for the best ways to get vitamins. Also, in the article “Diet Supplement Fact Sheet: Iron” by National Institutes of Health it says “The body absorbs 15% to 35% of the heme iron in meat, but only absorbs 2% to 20% of the non-heme iron found in vegetarian sources...” This means that we get most of our iron from meat and not plants. In the article “Pros & Cons of a Vegetarian Diet,” by Natalie Stein it states that the vitamin B12 (Helps boost your immune system and nervous system) is found in animal products only such as meat, eggs, and dairy products. This shows that to help us be more immune to sickness we need to eat animal products. It also means that meat is important to survive. According to the article “Vitamin B-12 Status, Particularly Holotranscobalamin II and Methylmalonic Acid Concentrations, and Hyperhomocysteinemia in Vegetarians,” It states “... study showed ⅔ vegetarians were vitamin deficiency as only compared to 1/20 meat eaters.” This shows that you have a higher chance to be deficient in vitamin B12 if you are a vegetarian.
