Treaty of Versailles: FAILURE Ferdinand Foch said, "This is not a peace treaty, it is an armistice for twenty years," and I strongly agree with him. The Treaty of Versailles was definitely a failure, because it didn't help assure people that leaves was forever in Europe. 1933, is when Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Regime had the opportunity to start another war.

However, different parts of the treaty could be said to be an success, however I still believe there are many others that were failures. It was a good success to be recognized, the new League of Nations helped make the way for diplomacy over war mongering. This had all kinds of success and or failure, even still it increased some new states giving some of that national identity they desired, and ripped out Europe's protection walls. But you see, it was successful to Britain and France who were paid slave owners. It failed in many other situations. Germany's economy crashed and the country fell into debt, this insecurity affected everyone living in Europe. Everything was produced in Europe so when they went down everyone went down due to the production rate. In addition, the failure of the Versailles treaty is helped shown because of the later deals that has some kind of change to the terms of Versailles. The Dawes plan by American Charles Dawes gave Germany a loan pay their reparations, and this would help them get back on their feet. The Treaty made it so Germany was limited to their troop strengths and could have no Air Force. Germany industries were watched by the allies manufacturers that could than help show where they needed more work. This literally killed Germany economy. The French wanted to put no work in making it noticeable that they wanted Germany to stay poor, so when come time for war again, they couldn't defend themselves.
