There is the obvious things such as death of the animal but also the trauma caused by the gun and the loud noises that disrupt the balance of the ecosystem. There is also the possible chances of the animal not being killed in the first shot, but the animal most likely dies within a few minutes. Animal rights groups believe that is too much pain and suffering and believe we shouldn’t be able to hunt animals in their own habitat (“Why Sport Hunting Is Cruel and Unnecessary”).

Many animal rights groups also believe that hunting has no limits or boundaries to how many animals they can kill. It is believed that hunters don’t do it for the food and only want the trophy and that is the case in some situations but that is not the entire truth. It is believed that hunters hunt all breeds of the animal and it hurts the population immensely. The most important way to make your hunt as humane as possible is by respecting the animals and their habitat. When you are in the animal’s habitat, don’t leave trash or traces that you were even there. Respect all the aspects of the hunt. Hunting becomes inhumane when you don’t obey fair chase and fairplay. Fair chase is when the animal actually has a chance to camouflage itself and or escape. When you use things such as vehicles and four wheelers to chase the animals it is not fair to the animal.
