It is important to further my education because knowledge is one element in life that leads to the highest success.
Millions of high school seniors are faced with the arduous decision to either continue their education at a higher institution of learning or go straight into the workforce after graduation. There are many factors that play into the decision. The greatest one being what they want to do with their lives. I made the decision to go to college because I want to be an aerospace engineer for my future career. By furthering my education, I can receive the knowledge necessary to achieve this goal.
Ever since I was a young boy, my mother and brother have been my biggest supporters; they have always encouraged me to dream big and to never let anything stand in the way of my dreams. Their struggles in life have been my motivation towards reaching the pinnacle of success. My mother has worked tirelessly and made sacrifices to enable me to have as many opportunities as possible, which will give me the chance to have a better life than she has had. The inspiration for my desire to become an aerospace engineer stems from my mom, who would take me to Lunken Airport for the yearly air show. I was in awe of all the different planes and jets. I was curious how something of that magnitude could soar through the air so gracefully. All engineering jobs start with a bachelor's degree, but my goal is to first earn my master’s degree and eventually pursue my doctorate degree. I want to be the best and brightest in my field, and by continuing my education until I earn a doctorate degree that will be possible. I hope to receive a position at NASA after college graduation.
