Ever since I was a young child, my mind and heart have always been set on one thing, becoming a surgeon. As of the past few years I have determined to become a plastic and, OB/GYN surgeon. The educational path that will take me to my career destination will not be easy. That I know, but I believe in myself. There were several obstacles I’ve had to face in my past, from hard classes, to ridding myself of toxic relationships, to deaths of the people I love. Naturally, there is more yet to come; although through thick and thin, I’ve persevered. But why become a K. E. Y. S. Intern? I’m involved in The National Honors Society, the Congressional Awards, and in a F.I.R.S.T. robotics F.R.C. Team: Crush 1011. To be a part of the N.H.S.you must have a high G.P.A., have a certain amount of volunteer hours, have exemplary character, and leadership skills. The purpose of N.H.S. is to benefit and, improve the school and community, through projects organized by student members within the society. Setting up the student members for future success in education through assistance with college admissions and financial aid planning. Congressional Awards is a voluntary government ran program that’s purpose is to aspire students into becoming a highly active citizen in their community; promoting self improvement. Participants are given awards from congress by completing a certain amount of hours in Physical Fitness, Public Community Service, Personal Development, and Expedition/Exploration from the bronze,silver, and gold certificates to medals. I am currently on my way to achieving the bronze certificate, and will continue to pursue the other awards as well. F.I.R.S.T. is an organization that’s mission is to inspire young people to be involved and, become science and technology leaders and innovators; sharing and helping with other fellow robotics teams.
