People don 't change is probably one of the biggest myths that I see people buy into; especially people who don 't want to change or people who are too scared to change. The reality is that I 've changed drastically since I was younger, and I know many other people who have too. Some people change physically, some people change spiritually, some people change mentality, and some people change their whole lives around. If change wasn 't possible, then nobody would ever adopt anything new in their life and everyone would be the same from their twenties to the end of their life.
I heard of a behavioral study done in Montreal where they did a lot of research on the brain and its response to various topics, such as change. The results showed that

Some people will not change throughout their entire life. It 's comfortable to do what you 've always done, and changing requires strength and commitment so that you don 't fall back into your old habits. If you can 't find that strength and commitment, you will start falling back into old ways of behaving, thinking, and believing, and soon nothing will have changed at all. And while you will feel comfortable back in your own habits, you will kind of wish you had followed through.
People Don 't Change Easily
That is a much truer statement than just 'people don 't change '. Research has shown that change is not easy, so it 's important to know that change doesn 't always happen quickly. Yes, you may set out a goal to change a few things about yourself, but to get to that point, you may take a few steps backwards and even sideways before you end up reaching their goal. The harder the change, the truer that can be.

Assuming that the change is for the better, it is probably a true statement in most cases. The root of this idea seems to come from the notion that we are dissatisfied with the state that we are in, so, in order to create a more enjoyable surrounding, we adjust. Others, however, stray from this practice, and instead of trying to adapt to the people around them, they try and change others.
Many may not understand that in order for things to take place change must happen so, that you learn from decisions or actions that have taken place. The word changed is the past tense of change which is for a difference to be made in my perspective.A person can change for the better or the worst depends what they are going for. Many believe change is for the better. I had a family member who was suffering of physical abuse by a loved one. She was very vulnerable and did not value herself as a beautiful woman. She was use to the hit, but one day came where she was so close to death that she knew things had to change. She took the situation to the authorities and now is in happy marriage with a different man that treats her with love and respect.

Change is a word that I have constantly heard throughout my high school years. It is a transformation through which everyone goes whether it's for the better or for the worse. For me the meaning and value of change has helped me to focus on the goals I have to accomplish. For others, it is simply just a phase we go through. During this semester, I have listen to many speeches, and I do like the speech about making changes. I am totally agree with the speaker that human is hard to make changes because of their internal “laziness”. First, his speech notes the “observing-interpreting-applying” theory, which is quite effective to make changes. In order to make changes, the first step is to observe and find out behaviors needed to change. The second step is to interpret these behaviors and find out tactics to make changes. The third step is to apply these tactics to exactly change behaviors as expected. This theory is not only beneficial to change my behaviors, but also beneficial to change my members’ behaviors.

Some people offer very little resistance to change, they consider it the spice of life; it prevents stagnancy and maintains excitement through diversity. Some people view change like the U.S. viewed Russia during the cold war, as an inevitable threat that we must constantly monitor and prepare for. Other people react to change like an ostrich reacts to danger. They just stick their head in a hole and pretend it doesn't exist. Change is constantly happening all the time to everyone in someway or another. Whether or not change is accepted does not alter the fact that it exists however the way you accept change can alter the way you exist.
For obvious reasons, people reject change. Especially people who are close to each other because they feel that this change is going to seperate them and make them not as close as they used to be. They fight the change until they force the person to change. It's sad how this works, but in reality, it's probably the single most reason why people change. The people we love, love us so much that they want us to remain the way we are forever. Forever is a long time and not one person can always stay the same. Sometimes if the people we love would just accept the change and go with it, they would understand where the change was origianlly coming from.
This theory demonstrates that people can change over the course of their life-time from the data that backs it up. In this theory, changing one’s behavior is a process that someone wants to do due to relationships encountered with people over their lifetimes. It is a rational theory that shows when new bonds are formed, people can adapt to change and lead a conforming lifestyle in society.
Fear is usually the only thing stopping a person from changing. Whether it's fear of ridicule or judgment (usually from well meaning relatives who say things like, "Oh, what a nice idea, but you've never been much good at that sort of thing, dear"), or fear of failure (Why leave your boring steady job to start a business that might leave you bankrupt?), or simple fear of change itself (Things might be hard now, but at least you've learned to cope with this problem... a new problem would require painful adaptation.), people are afraid of achieving the very things they swear they want.
I am the kind of person who likes to be in an environment that doesn’t change to often. I’m not a fan of jumping into something new. Adapting to change is one of the hardest things for me and it is the one thing that I need to work on the most. Change happens all around us every day and I need to learn how to deal with it. Change can be good. Change can be bad. It’s just what I’m going to have to work on to become a better leader.
When I first read this topic, the word that jumped out at me was “change”. It reminded me that nothing stands still. We are all constantly moving forward, transforming, evolving and changing. We would not be able to advance if we just kept still, not wanting to move, we would get left behind. Time does not wait for anyone, the old dies and is replaced with the young and new. A bud grows into a flower and then into a fruit, a young girl changes into a woman. Morning changes to noon, and then into night and the whole cycle starts again which makes me think that no change is permanent. Change is subject to change.
In my life, I have been exposed to a challenge called change. Change can occur in many different ways and is dealt with in many different ways. I have come to the awareness that change can be the deepest of all things. I always thought that change occurred when you moved to a state or when you lost someone real close to you. Those are a challenge to change, yes, but change doesn’t have to occur over a climactic incident. It can just appear overnight when your brain winds up when it’s time to do something different. Even with friends that you used to have and know that move on. For example, most of my friends from elementary school, I don’t even talk to them anymore.
