Curfew for teenagers is a topic that has been debated for a long time. Teens around the country are constantly getting in trouble for being out past curfew. A person may say that having a curfew keeps teenagers out of trouble. Curfews unfairly interfere in young people's lives because, our actions don't vary depending on the time of day, most teens have limited freedom during the day, and sometimes being out past curfew is unavoidable. What is a teen going to do at night that they wouldn't be doing during the day? Teens can't walk to a nearby convenient store past curfew without getting in trouble with the law. For those who are worried about illegal actions being committed, they can be done just as easily during the day. Walking on the beach at night is pretty popular as well as seeing a midnight showing of a new movie, which has not seemed to cause much harm to anybody in the past. The majority of teens are at school all day long taking tests, writing down notes during a lecture, and struggling to get their grades up. After they are dismissed from school a lot of students have to go to practice or perhaps a club meeting. Also many students have part-time jobs that they have to go to, not to mention they still have to get all of their school work done as well. They are pretty much wrapped up during the day so not being allowed to go outside is perplexing. Sometimes getting home before curfew is challenging. A group of teenagers may want to go on a road trip for a day, and on the way back home it may be past curfew. If they go to a movie that starts a hour and a half before curfew they'll probably be going home after it. Concerts will most likely not be
