Athletes today are making millions and millions of dollars by just playing one game. I think that each and every athlete deserves the amount they are given. As the fans, we chose to spend tons of money on tickets and merchandise to support our favorite team. Also, most kids today have a favorite athlete that they look up to. These athletes are inspiring kids to do what they love and to follow their dreams. Lastly, football is a very dangerous sport that causes a lot of injuries that cost a ton. We go to these games to scream on our team and to get excited when they win. If we’re willing to spend that much money to support them and to see a 3-hour game, then we are showing that they are not getting overpaid and they deserve the amount that they are given. Athletes all over the world are inspiring kids to do great things. No matter the age, people are looking up to these amazing athletes and are making a change in their lives to become the best that they can be. “If you find any kind of inspiration from someone else, then there is no way to put a value on how that person has positively affected your life, especially if that inspiration drives you to do something fantastic,” (Chris Mueller). I understand that average people are making less in a lifetime than an athlete is making in one, single game, but athletes sometimes need the money. When an athlete gets hurt, it’s not a 100% possibility that their insurance company will cover the cost. The average cost of a Knee replacement surgery without insurance can be as much as $35,000 or $40,000. If they were to get hurt, they would need a ton of money to cover all of the surgeries, medicine, maybe even physical
