Am I Dare to be Different? When people ask you to do something that you know is wrong, will you dare to refuse it? Or will you rather obey to do it so you will not be bullied? We mostly found teenagers these days choose the second choice - to obey and follow. Why? Being different is not always easy. People are afraid of getting pressures or mockery from peers, or being excluded or even ignored from the group. But, being different is one of the best ways to show people that your life can not be controlled by their deeds to you. It is also a warning for them not to ask you to do the wrong things. By being different, you have built a fortress for yourself so that you will not fall into their trap. If you open a gap to do something wrong, it is like you are allowing your enemies to take over your fortress. When you are not aware of your surrounding, your fortress will sooner or later collapse and you will be controlled by your enemies – they will force you to steal, and if you do not do it, they will torture you. So does with following others. You are the one who should control your life – you make choices based on what you think is good or bad. You can not let other people make decisions for you because they do not have any rights to do that. In case you are in that situation, you better be hurry telling the problem to your parents or teachers. Ask them for help and ask them to give you inputs so that you know how to overcome that kind of situation. Another option is to predict the impacts you could get by doing your action. You will never know when something unexpected comes to you when you are doing something wrong. But there must be something good comes whenever you do it
