Fate is a supernatural force that has events predetermined and fate is the uncontrollable events that take place which can have no other possible outcome than what is destined. Most people believe that the deaths in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare are coincidental but in truth all the deaths and leading events were transpired by fate. In the authors opinion this play is about fate and how it has caused the deaths of Romeo, Tybalt and Juliet. The events that lead to Romeo’s death were inspired by fate. Firstly, fate caused Romeo’s death because of Romeo meeting the servant who informs them of the party. This is fate because none of them were responsible for being close to each other and being in hearing distance. It was fate that brought Tybalt close to him which made him want to kill Romeo for showing up to the party. This was an event that lead to his death. Secondly, Tybalt's death is fate because of him wanting to fight Romeo. For example Tybalt challenged Romeo to a duel because him showing up to the party was disrespect towards him and when he fought him he lost. This shows that Tybalt's death was fate because if Romeo had never showed up to the party they would have never fought and Tybalt would have never died. Lastly, his death was fate because Tybalt had killed Mercutio which had infuriated Romeo. For example during the duel between Mercutio and Tybalt, Romeo put his arm in between the two of them to separate them and Tybalt had stabbed Mercutio under Romeo's arm. It was fate for Romeo to try to stop them from fighting and fate for it to not work. This event was transpired by fate because this was not a coincidence it was a planned out event by fate that brought Tybalt his unavoidable death.
