Have you ever felt so deeply about someone that you felt the need to do anything for your love? In this classic love story, two lovers felt the need to do anything, including committing suicide. In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers create a forbidden love. Their family feud causes their relationship to be kept a secret. In the end, their love causes their death and ends their family feud between their families. The deaths of Romeo and Juliet was caused by Romeo and Juliet themselves, and their families, Montague and Capulet.

In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, their deaths were caused by Romeo Montague for many reasons “Here are forty gold coins. Let me have a vial of poison of such quick-working stuff that it will flow all through the veins and make the life-weary taker fall dead.”, Romeo said to a pharmacist. (5.1.61-65) In this scene, Romeo is buying poison from a pharmacist to commit suicide because he was told that Juliet was dead. In the beginning of the play, the Chorus said, “Their unfortunate, pitiful deaths bury their parents’ quarrel.”, (1.P.7-8). In this part of the play, the chorus is explaining how Romeo and Juliet’s deaths were the only thing that could and did stop the Capulet and Montague family feud. The family feud is responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because if they had not been fighting, then the relationship they had would have been okay with no problems. I believe the feud is primarily at fault because if the feud didn't exist, they would not have kept their relationship a secret.
