George w. Bush has a legacy that will forever be remembered in the Political eye. President Bush was one of the very few candidates that were one of the most qualified candidates to assume office as President. His career was based off of both domestic politics and foreign affairs. Many people wouldn’t particularly say Bush was the best President, due to him lacking in domestic affairs, but he was very successful in foreign affairs. Not only was President Bush an icon to many people, he put together a strong team of advisors, including James Baker, Dick Cheney, Brent Scowcroft, and Colin Powell. Together they built an empire that accomplished an abundance of amazing things that only benefited the United States; Such as, helping the U.S. navigate the end of the Cold War. He also led a world-wide alliance of countries which successfully forced Iraq to forfeit from Kuwait in the Persian Gulf War. This is why I believe that George w. Bush showed political courage. Even though Bush came into office promising to continue the ideas Raegan had promised during his presidency, he did not show any change. His insight on education was to use federal government as a lever for reform while respecting that education is a state and local responsibility. At first many complained about his decision, but then came to realize that what he was doing was right.
