Baseball is very important to me because my dad has played baseball and his dad played baseball and they both played in the bigs and one day i hope i could play in the big league. My mom is also very important to me. My mom is a hard working mother she works very hard to make sure we are eating healthy and to stay healthy. My sister is also very important to me because she nice to have around the house and i wouldn't imagine me being without her. From the time I first saw the game of baseball I fell in love. Even the first word I ever said was “ball”. I have baby pictures in my baseball uniform and whenever a baseball game would be on TV, I would act like I was playing there with them. So at an early age I knew I wanted to play baseball. Luckily, my dad was also very big into baseball and helped me almost every day. Some of my best memories came when we would practice baseball in the front yard, or even go to the local (missing word) and take batting practice.

A requisite to be a true American is to have a conceptual understanding of baseball; the seventh inning stretch, “Take Me Out To The Ball Game,” as well as hotdogs and warm summer nights at the ball park are all favorite memories of American pastime. However, what one might not realize is the extreme physics behind the game. The velocity of the pitch, and degree of the ball exiting the bat, the exit speed, and how an outfielder throws are entailed within the physics of baseball. It is important to understand the physics involved with baseball to grow in understanding and appreciation of the sport.
Growing up, I have always had a passion for baseball. To me, it is much more than just a sport. There have been times when it has acted as an escape from many problems in my life, as I feel that when I am on the diamond, nothing can hurt me. Baseball has become more important to me than gaming, and it still is that way to this present day. I still strive to keep accomplishing more in baseball, and hoping to keep my dreams alive. I also decided to keep playing, as many people do quit, and I kept trying harder in Baseball, and instead of giving up; to push past that and to keep getting farther in the sport. It changed what I do after school, it made me think about what I like to do in my spare time, to what I should do in my spare time.
A travel of over 3000 miles for some, a 210 mile drive for me, just to arrive at the biggest gathering of over 1,500 twelve year olds; all just to play baseball. My love for baseball will always be something that I carry with me for the rest of my life and I think that being happy with my career choice is more important than an annual salary or lengthy requirements that go along with becoming a coach. For most sports fans there is nothing like opening day and a baseball field. In recent years I have over heard several people say Baseball is not the National Pastime or National Game any longer. When I query these people the typical response is Football is our new National pastime/game. Frank Deford (Nov 7, 2012) a writer for Sports Illustrated said, "Baseball is what we used to be. Football is what we have become." I refuse to believe this based on my knowledge of both games. In this paper we will exam the facts and I would submit to you that Baseball is still the National Pastime/Game and it cannot be disputed.
Recreational Activities is a fancy way of saying,”Doing something I like.”. My recreational activity is playing softball. It makes me forget all my problems with school, my friends, and family, and everything else. Therefor I just focus on the game, nothing but the game. Softball is a huge part of what makes me, me.
