I think that most people get caught up in the idea of what political party each candidate is from. Some people say “hey I am voting for so and so because he is a republican” and vice versa, rather than weighing the pros and cons if he/she were to be elected. It is my personal opinion that when it comes to people of high authority, their political party makes little to no difference because once they get into office, they are going to do whatever they think is best for their citizens, not their party. Although each party has general ideals and values that they hold closely, I think that the American people should listen to what each candidate has to say and truly understand every goal they have set to accomplish if they went into office.
