I wonder what was life like in the United States during World War II and how did life change for Americans during World War II. During World War II the Americans experienced some unexpected lifestyle changes such as their eating habits,their clothing, and their living habits. America itself changed all their normal habits just for the war. America’s eating habits changed, their clothing changed, and their living habits changed. The Americans eating habits changed because they started rationing foods. Which meant that they were low on supplies and everyone had to get the same amount of everything even if the could afford it to make things fair. 6 million women had entered the workforce during the war. They also adapted by doing the best that they could even though they were newbies. They also still managed to do their housewife duties such as cooking and cleaning. “ The war did not prevent young people from doing activities such as swimming and doing artwork.” ( everyday life during world war II ) They still got their education, they had toys made of really cheap materials, and they started new things that they haven't done before. The children adapted to these changes by still going to school and finishing at least their middle school education. Some children by the age of 15 started working.
