Sophocles’ play “Oedipus the King” focused on the king of Thebes, Oedipus whose main focus is to find out who killed the previous King Laios. Oedipus is a true leader with many noble qualities. Three main noble qualities that Oedipus showed is that he is a truth-seeker, loyal, and determined. He is determined to find out who killed the previous king and, have them pay for their crime. He is loyal to the people of Thebes, therefore, Oedipus sought knowledge by asking questions involving King Laios’ death to help demolish the plague that troubled the people of Thebes.
