What About Bob was a great comedic movie of a dysfunctional and inappropriate patient-psychiatrist relationship. The movie included a large chain of events having one thing leading to another. Bob Wiley, the main character, is a patient of Dr. Leo Marvin. Bob has many phobias and disorders that cause him to constantly need an uptight Dr. Marvin. The movie starts out with another psychiatrist on the phone with Dr. Marvin to hand over his patient, Bob. After the deed was done, Dr. Marvin’s colleague had said that he was finally free. But free from what? What kind of patient had Dr. Marvin been given? Right as Dr. Marvin had agreed to treat Bob, Bob had showed up at his office. Bob explains his problems and Dr. Marvin prescribes to him his book, Baby Steps. Dr. Marvin leaves for vacation later that day which worries Bob a lot. Because Bob is a worrisome man, he is always in need of his psychiatrist. So he decides to find out where Dr. Marvin goes on vacation and him and his goldfish …show more content…

A thunderstorm then rolls in forcing Bob to spend the night. Because the car is at the marina, Dr. Marvin is not able to drive Bob home either. Dr. Marvin, now very annoyed, wants Bob out of the house by 6:30, as Good Morning America is arriving at 7 to interview him. The next morning comes and Bob is still at the house as Good Morning America shows up early. The crew insists that Bob goes on the show as well. During the interview, Dr. Marvin is very tense and nervous but Bob steals the spotlight. He speaks greatly of Dr. Marvin and his book. Dr. Marvin is now done with Bob and wants nothing to do with him. He takes Bob to an institution but Bob is later released because he proves to the staff that he is sane. Dr. Marvin comes to drive Bob home but is so annoyed that he leaves Bob in the middle of nowhere. Dr. Marvin gets pulled over and sees Bob getting a ride back to the
