Well, this is a hard question to answer because those two countries have been hunting whales for a long time, but honestly I do not agree with the Norwegian and Japanese position to hunt whales. I would be agree if whales would be the only source of food they have in their territories, but hunting whales is not really necessary because there are more ways to feed themselves. The whaling ban can affect their cultures and traditions from ancestors, but they have to understand that we have to conserve the existence of whales to avoid their endangered in a future.

And that there are more ways to substitute the wheal hunting for another activity. For example, they can fish something else what it’s not banned by International organizations or do another activities like agriculture or cattle raising in order to get different sources of food. Also, I thing that an international organization in charge of wildlife or natural conservation should be the ones to take care of this kind of situations. Most of the countries that hunt whales would be more likely disagree to these claims, specially the small fishing villages. International organizations that support whales should promote the importance of these animals and how they contribute to our fauna. These claims should be balance against world opinion with the creation of strict rules that prohibit whaling. Claims should also be spread by globalization using the media to encourage that whaling ban is for a good will. Thus, the world opinion will be positive. If whaling happen to be banned worldwide, these organizations should help countries that used to whaling to find new alternatives that will favor their economy and fauna at the same time.
