Miranda Barbour And The Craigslist Murder

Violence has become a major problem for not only the U.S, but also the world. An example of violence within the U.S is the story of the Craigslist murderer, Miranda Barbour. Violence doesn’t just occur with humans. Sadly, it has been put on animals as well. All around the world, Japanese whaling is happening.

The story of the Craigslist murder is truly horrific. Miranda Barbour and her husband Elytte Barbour both murdered Troy LaFerrara together. They put an offer on Craigslist offering LaFerrara some sort of relationship with Miranda and he bought it. When the couple was able to lure LaFerrara into Miranda’s car, she stabbed him twenty times with a knife and Elytte came from the backseat with a cable chord and choked him to death. They then dumped his body in someone’s backyard. When the police found the body they used his phone to trace him back to the Barbours. Since they were arrested, they have both said some terrifying things. Elytte said that they had tried to commit other murders, but failed. Miranda said that since the age of thirteen, she murdered twenty-two people. Instigators haven’t been able to prove any of them. All of this occurred in November and December of 2013. Since then, Miranda has come out and made more comments. She has threatened to kill more people if she ever got released. Police have been trying to figure out whether or not she is lying about the murders she claimed to have committed. If she really has committed twenty-two murders, then she will receive the death penalty. ...ane. Whether they get wooden plugs stuffed into their blowholes to suffocate them or they use military-grade weapons, the whales suffer a long, painful death. I think that whaling needs to be stopped. Whales are beautiful creatures and they don’t deserve to suffer the way that they do. Also, there are many other meats available to eat. The population of other animals is much higher than a whale’s population.

To conclude, violence has become a major issue anywhere in the world. From the U.S to southern waters, everybody has to deal with it. The Barbours, better known as the Craigslist murderers, still sit in jail awaiting their punishment for the murder of Troy LaFerrara. Many countries are still fighting with the Japanese to put a halt to whaling, but still failing. I dream that one day we will live in a world where humans, nor animals, have to deal with violence.
