In the article “Welfare Reform Has Increased Poverty”, Pimpare writes that after PRWORA Act was passed the republicans and democrats both thought it would be very beneficial to welfare reform but it has increased poverty. The act has not been as successful as individuals had thought it would be. At the time has come to propose changes to the PRWORA, but congress does not really want to the article ends by saying that Congress should consider changing the PRWORA because it has increased poverty. But they still receive other kinds of assistance even though they started working .They are positive toward their future. But still poverty rates are still high. Pimpare, disagrees with tenner believing that it is not fair, half of the individual are poor enough have not receive it. In the other hand tenner believes welfare reform has advance and support people to obtain a stable financial status or another living standard For example, Tenner states the liberal claims of the welfare act increasing child poverty and poverty in general were inaccurate he mentions that Health and Human services show that 2.5 million families have left the program.This demonstrates individuals have found opportunities that had help them prosper in their lives. How tenner is more optimistic about the welfare reform have change and support people? She argues the differences in the amount of support given to low-income families living near or below the poverty line as well as people without jobs or means to support their families otherwise. As a result political figures holding similar views will attempt to change government programs. The president Bill Clinton was successfully able to overhaul the welfare program in 1996.
