In this modern era, being smart academically, having a bachelor or master title cannot guarantee a person from having a good job with a good salary. Some people don't satisfy with their current work because they think that the salary is small and they should deserve more, no wonder there are many people work in places that are very contrast with their study in the past. Nowadays there are many independent businesses running both online and offline such as online shops, restaurant, saloon, etc. Some may think that it is just a part-time job to have an extra salary, but the truth is, we can get a large amount of incomes if we have a good management skill. Establishing a small business can be easy or hard depending on the person's capability, relation, knowledge, and luck. There are several things that need to be done before the business could run, first is completing the business plans, second is finding partnerships, speculating the prices, and finally promoting.
When working on something, whether it is starting a new business, doing presentations, or even organizing a meeting; everything must be planned first to make sure that it can run smoothly. Planning something means able to determine the objective or purpose of doing it besides to determine the objectives, planning is mandatory to prevent fatal mistakes due to the lack of experience and ineffective strategy. In a business world, strategy, connections, and backup plans play a big role in determining whether the mission can be successful or not. Business planning can be divided again into several aspects; determining purposes and goals, calculations of capital, planning for the place that will be used in the future, and managing business license to the authority.

When High-school graduates think that obtaining a B.A. will help them get higher-paying job, they are only narrowly correct. Murray Charles (245) states that “some companies will not consider you at all if you do not have a college degree”. He also stated that many jobs will not even interview you if you do not hold a B.A. degree, having a B.A. degree help enhance your pay”. Why does having a B.A. produce that result? According to Charles, for some jobs, the economic premium for a degree is produced by the actual education that has gone into getting the degree, Murray Charles (245). Charles also stated that “lawyers, physicians, and engineers can earn high incomes deploying knowledge and skills that take years to acquire”. He believes that having a degree in law, medicine, and/or engineering still signify competence in those knowledges and skills, Murray Charles (245). Obtaining a college education affects you in many different ways and income is one, not going to college and receiving a degree will leave you working a minimum wage paying job like fast food or retail because you will not have received the knowledge or skills to do anything
As per Henry Mintzberg, former president of the Strategic Management Society, “strategy cannot be planned because planning is about analysis and strategy is about synthesis. Strategic planning involves a structure or framework, a set of procedures both formal and informal, and of course content. Beyond these basic elements, the underlying assumptions about strategic planning are that the future can be anticipated, forecasted, managed or even controlled, and that the best way to do so is to have a formal and integrated plan about it in place. The process of planning itself may turn out to be more important than the results, and that process requires both analysis and synthesis. Planning simply introduces a formal “discipline” for conducting long-term thinking about an institution, and for recognizing opportunities in and for minimizing risks from the external and internal environments.
As we all know that money don’t’ bring all of the happiness; however, it is one of the main sources for reaching higher potential and goals. There are thousands of examples used as a reference by certain authority figures that became successful in the business world that enables others to dispute the benefit of having a higher education. The list starts with Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Richard Branson, Michael Dell, and Steve Wozniak, all of them either did not learn or finished obtaining a degree. Generally, the list of successful people with higher education is much longer. Furthermore, when we talk about finances, the most successful investors not only have had higher education, they also had higher financial education, and such people include: Warren Buffet, George Soros, Peter Lynch. In the business world, too, such people are not enough. Finally, Google, for instance, was a ultimate graduate project of Sergei Brin and Larry Page. Who knows, if they would have dropped out of the university, then all of us would still have to use the search of Yahoo. Being a student is also included in this category because they study and serve other people too, such as their teachers,and peers. The only difference is they do not get paid, but they learn from the lessons they are being taught. While being a student, he or she can also get a job in order to save money. Most of the jobs students get are being an in-person server but as students take more courses and after years of studying, they will have the potential to become a symbolic analyst. Students can study whatever courses they want to take. It is their own decision whether they want to be a doctor, nurse, engineer or any other profession. A nurse can be considered as in-person server since they are known to serve patients, but they can also be considered a symbolic analyst, because they still have the chance to become wealthy like any other analysts are. As a nurse, he or she can have associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree. However, he was not happy with his job so he started his own company, Clinkscales Pool Repair. I asked him if he is more happy with his job now, he said that he is much more happy than he has ever been.
Strategic planning is a critical process for any successful business. It outlines the framework in which the organization operates. Therefore, each area of the process should be carefully considered and developed, with the understanding that some areas are relatively static, whereas other areas change and grow depending upon the environment. By far, the most important part of the strategic planning process is its implementation. If the process is never implemented, its development is just wasted energy.
Businesses do not plan to fail, they fail to plan. In my opinion, the planning process is a vital component towards successful operation of any business, thus i believe the above statement to be correct. According to Stephen Chapman, planning is defined as ‘the process of setting targets and deciding how to achieve them. It acts as a link between the business owner’s ideas and the actual operation of the business’. (2011 pg. 396) It is a managerial and leadership task and is such an integral part of managing a business, especially in today’s rapidly changing environment.
People who do not go to college may struggle more with paying for bills and other payments. “Education helps people do higher-skilled work, get jobs with better-paying companies or open their own businesses” (Leonhardt). People who start their own businesses are usually very successful. They are the people who go to college and use that environment to grow and learn and to gain skills. “Only about thirty-three percent of young adults get a four-year degree today, while another ten percent receive a two-year degree” (Leonhardt).
It is a competitive job market and if one wants a high paying job he needs some college credentials. College is also said to prepare people to take on the world. Once one has graduated and has a well paying job he is on his way to becoming successful. People work their whole lives making money so they can satisfy their desires. The idea of being able to purchase the items one has always dreamt about is an achievement. People dream about owning a home and having beautiful things to fill it with. Many people take pride in what they possess. People want to own nice homes, nice cars, and nice clothes. Some need to look successful in order to feel successful. These people feel successful when they can admire what their hard work has given them.

Strategic planning helps to implement new projects, new technology, consolidation of data centers, data warehouses, exponential data growth, cost of ownership, and resources available in an organization to assess the future requirements. Strategic planning analyzes the business plan, potential blockage or other issues in the current architecture, processes and their implementation in new initiatives, and processes. Strategic planning helps to formulate the ideas about the key factors that are affecting the present and future development of the organization and the opportunities offered by the environment and the competence of the organization.

This sector of the business community now represents about 40 percent of GDP and accounts more than half of total employment. Starting a small business is no easy task and can take days if not months to prepare. The most important aspect to have is the tempura and heart to start a small business, as without passion, no business can succeed. One has to be his or her own boss, make dream, reality and be willing to market and sell a product. It takes a lot of discipline, long hours and hard work, something many do not have. However with the right willingness, passion and dedication a business can be the start of something big.
