Working at Ward Transport

Ward is looking for drivers, but there are many other positions also available. There are four job categories: LTL Jobs, TL Jobs, Logistics Jobs, and Corporate Jobs.

LTL
LTL stands for less-than-truckload. These employees handle multiple, smaller shipments from various customers which ship in one trailer. Ward Transport hires full-time LTL drivers, mechanics, and dock workers, as well as casual (or part-time).

TL

Ward Transport also has four key philosophies they believe maintain their positive culture. One, employees should focus on customer service and satisfaction. Two, respect all employees and recognize their contribution. Three, provide fair wages and benefits to all employees. And four, to take an active part in the community, whether that means volunteering in schools and community centers, or ensuring Ward Transport is a responsible and safe corporation.

According to Glassdoor.com, current Ward Transport employees comment that their “co-workers are very good people,” and they’ve gotten “experience [and] knowledge that can be helpful later in life.” Others comment that the facilities could be updated, they were dissatisfied with the length of shifts, and that they are concerned with a high turnover rate.
