Most people assume that Walt Disney has always been successful, but he wasn’t, he just represents that hard work and persistence pays off. Walt Disney was a creative animator that decided instead of working under someone else, he would start his own business and make animations the way he wanted to. After many hardships, he became a very successful animator, company owner and business man. As soon as he got into the animation business he did not automatically make a lot of money just because he had great ideas. He became as successful as he was by not giving up if things got rough, instead, he kept pursuing his dreams.

This time Disney decided he would be the sole owner of all of his cartoons so that the same thing that happened with Oswald would happen again. One of their most beloved characters was inspired by the pet mouse Disney kept at his office in Kansas City. Even though he was almost named Mortimer Mouse, we all know him as Mickey Mouse. Mickey was animated and drawn by Ub Iwerks and Disney was his voice. Before he had his own show, he made his first appearances in Disney’s other cartoons. The park did not start off successful, the opening day did not go as planned, the attendance of people were up and down for the first few years. Eventually, tourists were coming from all around the world to visit the theme park. Now, there are the same theme parks spread out all over the world in Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong. In 1966, he wanted to make another theme park in Florida and it was still being built when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. However, his brother, Roy, wanted to finish the park.
