Walt Disney World - touted as the most magical place on earth, but what do you pack for your very first Disney vacation?
Over 10 years ago we had our very first Walt Disney Vacation. I was in a stable job and my youngest son was about 3, but I didn't want to wait much longer since the other kids were getting older. I had no one to advise me on what I needed to pack, and all I had in my arsenal was what myWalt Disney World travel agent told me. My hotel, ride to and from the airport to our hotel, dining plan and park tickets were all taken care of, so all I had to do was pack for my trip. What do you pack for your first Disney vacation? Well after visiting almost every year since then, sometimes twice a year, or like we did in 2016, 3 times a year, I think I have a fairly good grip on what you should pack and what you should leave at home.

After being in a park for hours, and Disney is no quiet place, sometimes you can end up with a headache and having Tylenol at hand could be your lifesaver.
Mosquito Spray
If you are going to Walt Disney World in Florida, then walk with your mosquito spray. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then one will be provided for you. With the threat of Zika still present in Central Florida, it's good idea to be prepared.
Rain Poncho
While you can certainly buy these at the parks, if you prefer to save some money, I would suggest walking with your own. They are super light weight so won't take up much room in your luggage. Our very first visit was met with lots of rain and we ended up buying Disney Parks themed ponchos while at the park. They also come in handy if you don't want to get wet on rides such as Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom, or Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom.

Disney World is a magical and fun place for a family of four. The sound of excitement filling the air, kids jumping and dancing around waiting to start their day at Disney. But as we know going to Disney is not as easy as it sounds. You need to budget your way to get to Disney World. Saving and planning is your first priority. How are you going to get there and where are you going to stay when you get down to Florida. Most important of all, well to the kids, the Disney Park, and which ones to go to. Wanting to go to and actually going to Disney World is two different things.
The ticket price range at Disney World is ranged from one hundred to over eight hundred dollars. Shown on the Disney World website, the annual passes are eight hundred, and the daily tickets are one hundred dollars per ticket. The price of tickets are much more expensive for non-residents of Florida. Not to mention, purchasing a plane ticket to Florida can add more to the bill. The food prices at Florida are expensive too. Tuttle, a journalist, mentions, “Food easily costs over $10 per person, per order even at Disney's to-go type restaurants, and sometimes over $50 per person for special meals hosted by characters like Ariel and Winnie the Pooh.” (par.4). Hotels at Disney World cost around one thousand dollars a night. Souvenirs can add an extra thirty dollars. On an empty stomach, Disney world serves unique food. Przygoda, a student at university South Carolina, shows a mouthwatering dessert sold at Disney World, “Kitchen Sink.” (par.2). The Kitchen Sink dessert contains a bowl of ice cream and whip cream with loads of cherries on top. Regardless of the price of the park, Disney World brings smiles to kids all over the world with their live Disney characters, and rides. Disney World holds four parks that total to over fifty rides. Porter, a journalist, shows, “If you are visiting for exactly four days you can hit every park giving each its own designated day.” (par.4). For clothing I will pack quite a few items. The first items will pack five half way decent and comfy t shirts. Secondly, I will pack five pairs of comfy cute shorts. Ever since I was a child, my family and I have been Disney fanatics. The Disney empire has created many amazing places, but my favorite location to visit is the Walt Disney World Resort. Every day 50,000 people from all over the world arrive at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to experience the magic. When the park first opened its gates in 1971, 10,000 visitors made their way through. That number has multiplied five-fold and continues to multiply to this day. Since the 1971 opening, over 600 million people have experienced the magic of Disney. In my lifetime, I have visited the park with my family and friends six times. Each visit lasted four days in order to experience all the parks and their unique offerings. When I’m in Disney World, the experience each time is incredible.

The price is the big downside at universal studios. It cost a lot and if you want to get through the rides quicker you are going to want the fast pass. The fast pass cost $40 for single pass use, but cost $60-$150 on a holiday for 2 unlimited passes for a day. The cost for one ticket is $105 which is a lot of money for one ticket. So if you are going with a few people you will be fine but if your whole family is there it is going to cost a lot.

Do you ever feel uncomfortable or embarrassed while reading aloud with your class? Many students and parents do not approve of some of the material that the English department desires to teach. Although they most definitely should, sadly , they have no choice. A novel that has started an endless amount of controversy over the years is To Kill a Mockingbird. I am going to prove to you that To Kill a Mockingbird is not a novel that should be taught in schools because it contains triggering discuss of rape, repeadetly states the n-word, and delivers gender roles.
Disney promotes sexisim by forcing young girls to live in a patriarchal world. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The little mermaid, Aladdin, and Snow White are all examples of popular Disney movies that encourage young viewers that they need a man to save the day. Yes, it’s true that there are recent movies such as Moana and Frozen that prove otherwise, but how long will it take to completely get over the fact that women are mainly viewed as secondary citizens compared to the men? There are countless examples of how Disney movies influence this theme, and how much the female characters’ actions, ideas and thoughts are not included in a Disney movie.
There is no arguing Walt Disney practiced what he preached. In fact, he did what he did so well that people continue to bring others to see what he did to this day, that being Disneyland. First, we’ll start by learning about the background history of Disneyland. Next, we’ll compare Disneyland from when it first started to what it has developed into. And finally, we’ll explore all the eight parks and what they have to offer.

The items you need to bring with you can differ between the beach and the city but it can also be the same. At the beach you need to bring bathing suits and surf boards. At the beach you want to bring shorts and tank tops. While in the city it is wise to bring comfortable shoes and a jacket. The city you should bring shorts and comfortable shirts as well as dress clothes if you plan on attending a Broadway show or a musical or even go out to a nice restaurant. In the city and the beach if you want to do things outdoors you should bring sunscreen and shoes. In both places it is wise to bring cash for public transportation but different types are available in both places. And of course you will need to always bring your own toiletries.
