Victor Frankenstein had a desire to obtain prohibited knowledge. After losing his mother his mind and emotions began telling him that he could control people’s fate in life. He grew up during a time where chemistry and electricity played a big role. Victor attended at the University of Ingolstadt in Germany. He studied biology, electricity, Galvanism, pseudo-genetic, engineering, and early genetics under M. Waldman. Victor believed he could use all these resources to create life himself. This is how Frankenstein's creature began to come alive.

The creature Victor had made was made up of limbs from dead corpse and sewn together. Victor made him to be 8 foot tall, with translucent yellowish skin that was hardly pulled over the muscles. He also had watery eyes that looked to sag, and his mouth was clothed with black lips and protuberant white teeth.

When the monster comes across the De Lacey's, he notices how they treat each other. They are caring for one another and love each other. They are not a very wealthy family, but the monster seems to think that they have everything they need. He has been stealing some of there food and eventually figures out that they are suffering from poverty. One of the De Lacey’s in particular (blind man) treats the monster kindly. He can’t see which is why the old man doesn’t show terror like the others
