Many do not understand the importance of understanding: the feelings, thoughts, and mentality of other people, or as many would say “walking on others shoes”. This saying has been said through many generations and decades, proving the importance and power of the words. Many hear this saying or something similar to it first in our childhood, when our parents are trying to make us understand something we did was wrong. For example, making fun of a kid at school because he wears the same shoes every day, your mom, dad or a parent figure would then tell you; “ what about if his family does not have enough money to buy him any others and imagine how he felt when he was made fun of, would you have liked it if someone made fun of you?” Learning to put yourself in another person’s point of view will be something that will be used through life. Often a person will see themselves in difficult situations of “either, or’ and something as simple as going like “ I wonder how she feels about this” can help one come to a conclusion. Remember they could be going through difficult times, or they didn't get enough sleep that night, small things like this can really make a difference. Before going on and saying something that could upset or offend someone know they are not going through the same situation as one and that something that could be careless for you is very important to them. The other person or people, might be in a different religion, race, or authenticity, meaning they may have a different opinion of things.
