Tupac Shakur was a rap symbol in the 90's. He was born in 1971 to Afeni and Mutulu who were two individuals from the Black Panther Party. He is from East Harlem, New York and later moved toward the West Coast to pursue his rap career. Tupac was a performing artist, rapper, and a motivation to his fans. Sadly, his life came to an end at 25 years old. Today nobody has been convicted for his murder, and the case is still a mystery. On September seventh, 1996 at roughly 11:15 pm, Tupac was in a black BMW with Suge Knight, the leader of Death Row Records. Tupac was in the passenger seat, when a white Cadillac pulled up close to his car at a red light and started to open fire on his car. Tupac was shot 5 times and Knight was shot once however the bullet only grazed him. Knight rushed Tupac to the emergency room where he was sedated. …show more content…
It had a lot of solid point by point data and went over a lot of information that went on behind the scenes. I likewise feel that it was very unbiased. However if that were the case I don't think Kading would have provided as much factual data and offer it to the world. In a book titled, “The covert war against rock: what you don’t know about the deaths of Jim Morrison, Tupac Shakur, Michael Hutchence, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Phil Ochs, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, John Lennon, the Notorious B.I.G.” The author Alex Constantine, is known for his works of writing and research that plans to uncover the CIA and different forms of the government for their wrongdoings. He has written about UFO's, the OJ Simpson trial, mind control, and the passings of various celebrities that remain a secret to society. Be that as it may, Constantine's works all have a likeness and that is that he blames the government, particularly the CIA, of concealing information for their own benefit and mentally brainwashing Americans to believe what they want us to
Conformity can be very crucial, infact a lot of people eventually start hurting themselves or doing drugs just because they don't feel themselves anymore. Why can't society change? why can't that one kid that always follows everyone in the back can turn into the kid that just hangs with the people they really wanna hang with?We need to embrace ourselves so we can stop all this conformity from consuming us.Tupac was a nonconformist, he always did what made him happy and always told the truth.
Tupac was at a Mike Tyson fight against Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 7, 1996. After it was over, Tupac was in the car with Suge Knight when a white, four-door, Cadillac pulled up and two gunmen got out. They shot thirteen times; three of the shots hit Tupac and one hit Knight. Tupac died of internal bleeding six days later in critical care at the University Medical Centre. Six months later on March 9, 1997, Biggie was sitting in a Chevy Suburban outside after the Soul Train Music Awards when he was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, California. He died about an hour
Tupac Shakur was an actor and a rapper. He was born in Harlem, New York on June 16, 1971, as Lesane Parish Crooks. Both his mother and father were members of the Black Panthers, which later in his career influenced his political views in his songs .At the age of 13, he began his acting career in the production, “Raisin in the Sun” at the Apollo Theater. Tupac’s mother was single mother of two and struggled with money, forcing them to move around a lot and often stay in shelters.Tupac went to Baltimore School of Arts before dropping out and moving to Marin County in California at the age of 17.
In Jenée Desmond-Harris’s narrative Tupac and My Non-thug Life, the author’s use of a photograph aids the reader in conveying what Desmond-Harris and her friend Thea were like. The photograph captures the natural essence and innocence of the young high-school girls as they enter an age of self-discovery. The purpose of the photo is to bring the descriptive details of the narrative to life and provide a vivid image of the girls during their adolescent years. The photograph reflects a youthful and rather naive time the girls find themselves surrounded in.
Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in New York City to Afeni Shakur, a Black Panther member since 1968. She gave birth to him 2 months after she was released from Women’s House of Detentions in Grenwich Village. She was charged with conspiracy to bomb several New York public locations and just had her bail revoked. In court she represented herself and won against the state of New York in a surprising turn out. In Incan dialect, his name Tupac Amaru means “shining serpent” and Shakur is Arabic for “thankful to God.” For most of his childhood his crack addicted mother shuffled Tupac between the ghettos of Harlem and the Bronx. Young Tupac began his performance career with the 127th Street Ensemble and then enrolled Baltimore School for the Arts where he was educated in ballet and acting. Tupac was forced to drop out of the school because he had to move to California with his mother, where his criminal career began. He left his house at the age of 17 because of the continuous fights with his mother he then began selling/doing drugs, and was homeless for about 2 years. His life was spiraling down wards at a rapid rate. Till one day he got his big break. Tupac always dreamt about being famous someday, now his dream was becoming a reality. He struck a recording deal with Interscope records. He was on his way to super stardom, but as we all know with fame comes problems. He was involved in the shooting of two off duty police officers, although the chargers were later dropped. He was also convicted of rape, and sentenced to 5 years in Clinton Correctional Facilities.
Tupac met Keisha Morris when she was in her 20s. After she was married to Tupac, he committed a crime which he was incarcerated for a period of 10 months at New York City Clinton Correctional Facility. In this article “Love is not enough” Keisha stated that they both were in love until after things got complicated (Jailed Time). Tupac Shakur mentioned about the safety of her”(XXL, 2011). Tupac Shakur is a hip-hop artist, a very influential person in the 20th century in New York City.
Many people have this one thing they ALWAYS do, and Tupac’s was wear a bullet-proof vest. It is so ironic how the night he didn't wear one he ended up getting shot. Tupac was cremated the day after he died. Now who gets cremated the day after they die, no autopsy no nothing. They can’t did him up like they wanted to do with Elvis Presley or former President Abraham Lincoln. The Cadillac that the murderer was in was never found. If someone would have robbed a bank or casino in Las Vegas the police would've been all over the scene. In Atlanta, GA., if someone was shot the police would look for the gunman immediately. However the city that the shooting was in was only about eight blocks who could run away in a city of eight blocks that fast.
Shakur’s post celebrity run-ins with the law were almost as frequents as when he was growing up. In 1992 he was arrested when a stray bullet killed a six-year old child during a scuffle between Shakur and two others. The charges were later dropped. In 1993 Tupac was arrested for allegedly shooting two off duty Butts County Atlanta police officers who were harassing a black motorist, but the charges were again dropped. Ironically one of the officers was shot in the...
Immediately after Tupac Shakur’s murder the night of September 7, 1996, possible suspects were targeted and investigated. Among the earliest accused was Suge Knight, the creator of Death Row Records (Scott 183). Shakur’s contract with Death Row was a profit vacuum for Knight because of Shakur’s immense talent and popularity. And, allegedly, a four-million dollar insurance policy was enacted on Tupac after signing with Death Row Records, giving Death Row the benefit rather than his family (Scott 183). This policy reinforced the idea that Tupac was the driving money force for Death Row; therefore, he was extremely valuable for the success of the company. As Knight once said, "Tupac IS Death Row." (Johnson and McQuillar 173). However, tension came when Tupac supposedly was ready to depart from Death Row Records once the contract expired, which would negatively affect the success of Death Row (Scott 184). The devastation of Shakur’s departure would cause a major change in Death Row's success, and potentially causing another company to be more successful than Knight’s. T...
Tupac Amaru Shakur was an African-American rapper, poet, and record producer during the 1990’s. In his adolescent years, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes, like ballet. He was taught radical politics by his mother, which helped him develop ideas about topics he would later use in his many works. At an early age, Tupac had seen the injustices of the real world. His mother was a former Black Panther activist who turned to substance abuse during Tupac’s childhood. Aside from that, he and his mother also moved many times while they lived together in New York City. While Tupac was in Baltimore, he discovered rap; not long after, he and his mother moved to the West Coast where he joined the rap group
Struggle and incarceration surrounded Shakur from an early age. His godfather, Elmer "Geronimo" Pratt, a high ranking Black Panther, was convicted of murdering a school teacher during a 1968 robbery although his sentence was later overturned. His stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, spent four years at large on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list beginning in 1982, when Shakur was a pre-teen. Mutulu was wanted in part for having helped his sister Assata Shakur (also known as Joanne Chesimard), Tupac's godmother, to escape from a penitentiary in New Jersey, where she had been incarcerated for allegedly shooting a state trooper to death in 1973.
In 1995, Notorious B.I.G released the song “Who Shot Ya.” Tupac interpreted this as a mocking of the previous shooting. Tupac later retaliated with the song “Hit Em Up” where he claimed to have sex with B.IG’s wife. In “Hit Em Up,” Tupac directly calls out Notorious B.I.G for his song, “Who Shot Ya” and told him how his men couldn’t finish the job. He also goes on to say that he’s on a different level from B.I.G and that he shouldn’t be making threats because he rides with killers. (Daniel
In November 1994 Tupac was shot five times, where thieves made off with forty thousand dollars worth of his possessions.
Soon after a sexual assault scandal Tupac was shot in his studio. After recovering he was sentenced, succeeding his incarceration he signed with a new record label. Not long after being out Tupac returned to production recording albums faster than he could sell them. He seemed to be doing good and was until one night after leaving an event he was gunned down. A lot of conspiracies surround this on why, who, or if it was faked.
It is so hard to become a rapper. But it is harder to become a Great Rapper. I believe Tupac is a great rapper. Not only a great rapper, but the greatest rapper. Like Snoop Dogg had said, “Tupac was many different things at once. Hardheaded and intellectual, courageous and afraid, revolutionary and….oh yeah, don’t get it f***ed up, gangsta.” To be a great rapper, you must have impact, commercial success, be good at song writing, a lot of performances and live shows and lastly, hella good rapping. The first song I heard from tupac was “ambitions az a ridah and all eyes on me” and it was real original so I went and listened to ‘Brenda got a baby’ which made me think “dammmmm he good, he good as hell”
