Trigger words in society today could be vulgar, lewd, obscene, suggestive or plain out and right indecent. Some of these words you hear every day one example is the word, bitch. It’s ok to say bitch when referring to reference of a female dog. Or complaining as in to whine constantly about an issue. Or too say bitchn used to describe something cool back in the day. But saying bitch as in you’re a bitch to a woman is lewd, spiteful and malicious. Another word that triggers people is ass. You can say you made an ass of yourself today or spectacle, but saying your ass is perfect is a senseless derogatory remark. Setting off people’s anger and returned remarks of more trigger words. An example, when applied to a person, "Mark is an asshole” is considered much more derogatory than that of “Mark is an ass". Another way you could use ass is stating the welfare and feeling you maybe at the time after a long hard day "Boy, is my ass …show more content…

I think if you accidentally peak or utter something biased or trigger someone’s emotions you should; should let them react and finish their emotional reaction to your statement, then try using another word and reiterate your intentions to a more agreeable word set and continue your discussion. When triggered by a bias word, we sometimes experience an array of emotions including dissatisfaction, anger, resentment, insecurity, or enviousness. We may have emotional outbursts and be unable to express ourselves appropriately. As a result, we develop coping skills and habits that can create interpersonal conflict. Or we act in a indirect way of expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them to others. Or we even stop communicating with others all together. These cause us to accept self-defeating habits become patterns that later will produce emotional stress, drain our energy, and influence how we live and
