Veronica still in Travis's arms was started by a yell, it was Martin yelling sat Travis to let her go. Not wanting more conflict Travis said goodbye to Veronica and left, Veronica was left alone with Martin. Wanting to slap him across the face she raised her hand, but he caught it before she could make contact with his cheek. "Let me go! Leave me alone!" Was all Veronica would say, Martin tried to calm her down but had no success. As Veronica struggled to release her arm from Martin's grip she felt his lips on hers, once he pulled away Martin took his chance to explain what happened in chemistry class. She hugged and kissed Martin goodbye then proceeded to walk to where her mom was waiting for her. Once home Veronica walked into her room and closed the door behind her, she reflected on what had happened today. Slowly, different explanations popped into her mind. With so many new scenarios playing through her mind, Veronica began to overthink. She was interrupted by her cellphone ringing, it was Travis asking, "what did Martin want?" Veronica tried to convince Travis that she was okay and that the talk she and Martin had after school was explanation to why he kissed Jess, but Travis didn't believe that. He comforted Veronica from her overthinking though, even though Martin was possibly lying to her the least he could try and do is prevent Veronica from harming herself more. After the phone call ended Veronica started to work on her history chapter notes, 30 minutes in she received a text from Martin. It read, "Hey, I'm sorry about what happened in chemistry class  let me make it up to you" Veronica replied, "It's okay I guess, you know how I felt about you and Jess and no."
