Every year at my school, the Toys for Tots Committee hosts a christmas concert to raise money and toys for less fortunate families. This year, it was my turn to take on this large responsibility. Due to a few unchangeable and hindering circumstance, the concert was almost cancelled. The most significant issue that we faced was that this year many students have been apathetic towards clubs and fundraisers, thus many school organizations have been struggling to make ends meet. The Toy for Tots Committee was no different, for we too had been surviving on only a handful of dedicated members. Even with the odds against us though, we were able to make this year successful. Scheduling and planning out the concert itself was quite simple. Two weeks before it was planned to go on, we scattered posters throughout the school, and announcements were aired every afternoon. In the mornings and during lunch, ticket tables were set up to sell tickets for three dollars or a toy. But still, by Thursday afternoon, we had about 90 tickets sold, and the possibility of having the concert seemed low. However, I refused to let it cancelled. With a crazy plan and with support, I knew that I could keep the concert alive. The principal only requested 250 tickets, but it was not said that all of the tickets must be bought by individuals. Therefore, I thought that if I could raise enough money, then I could buy enough toys that could then be used to buy a large amount of tickets. This seemed like our only hope, thus, I called all of my friends and family and convinced them to donate. After five hours of collecting money, I was able to raise a little over 100 dollars, which was used to buy 100 toys. I prayed that it would be enough, but I never knew that a miracle would happen the next
