This College Should Be a Smoke-free Campus

I know there are many smokers of students in this college. If Edmonds Community College really becomes a smoke-free campus, I guess it may have many against voices from students. The college should prepare itself for feedbacks. However, as everyone knows, school is a place where educates people. So it is supposed to be a clean air campus. Becoming a smoke-free campus is one of the improvements. In the smoke-free campus, although people are not allowed to smoke on campus, they still have rights to carry tobacco product, so they can go to other place to smoke or they can smoke electronic tobacco which has less harm to people.
Smoking is not a good thing. School is a place to educate people, so it should try its best to avoid bad things. In my opinions, school can even be described as a perfect place on itself. It should teach students that smoke is not good. I think what school should do is not only tell students that smoke is bad but also needs to become a smoke-free campus. I know there are many disadvantages on smoking. School must know it, so it should help students to avoid it. I think the school teaches students smoke is bad but on the other hand, it provides smoking areas on campus. They conflict. Now, school is trying to do the exact thing. Not only tell students smoke is bad but also trying to implement the policy. As what many faculties in this college told me that they are trying to help me to success, school is trying to help students to success on smoke this one of many aspects. I believe a really good student does not smoke and most of smokers are not very good people. Smoking and good people have certain connection. If talk about smoke, what I can react the first is it can threaten people's healths or could even caus...

...ome a smoke-free campus costs time and money. But if the college executives what I recommend on this essay, I think it cost more money than only to be a smoke-free campus. If be a smoke-free campus, the college will remove the smoking areas and I think they will build other things instead of them. It must cost money and the problem is what kinds of buildings will instead of them. Because each of those areas is small space, so I don't think each of them is enough to build up a building. Store is a good idea. Maybe school will not only think about the smoking area but also think about the area surrounding. Here I found a problem. If move those smoking areas, maybe areas nearby will be affected. Everything has both bad side and good side. This policy is an example.
